We believers are one Ummah

Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem

All praise be to Allah Subhana Wa ta’ala.

Jummatul-wida! Smiles twinkled on everyone’s faces. A blessed day! SubhanAllah at the same time, teardrops like the rain fall on our cheeks. We do not want this blessed month to leave us. The month of mercy like no other is so great! Allahu Akbar! At this time, when I woke up this morning. I found out that Hurricane Irene is approaching NY! My closest friends live there. I got so worried for all of them and their families.

We believers are one ummah.

The Prophet SalAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: “The believers in their mutual love, are like the human body where when the eye is in agony, the entire body feels the pain; when the head aches, all the body will suffer.” Narrated by Muslim, Mishkatul-Masabih 2/422

When I found out about the hurricane, I got  so distressed that I started crying. I love them all for the sake of Allah Subhana wa ta’ala and to me my friends are like my own family. I cried and made lots of dua Alhamdulillah.

In the midst of this, I looked at some who live in NY. They were neither worried nor were in a state of panic. I was amazed to see their reaction and how they looked so relaxed. Their sadness today was that Ramadan is leaving not because the hurricane was approaching. They did not care. SubhanAllah I can learn so much from the patience of my friends. They only look towards the beauty and the blessings of Ramadan. They put their trust in Allah Subhana Wa ta’ala and they know that nothing will happen except to what Allah Subhana Wa ta’ala has decreed.

May Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala bless their faces with noor and protect them all. May He keep them all safe and make it easy on them. O Allah! Let no calamity touch them all Ameen Allahu Akbar!
