True story of success

Experience by Ishrat Ali
Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem. All Praise be to Allah Subhana Wa ta’ala. On a cold morning, it was finally the end of summer. My school has started. On the first day, all the students of my Islamic School were escorted to the lecture hall. All the students and teachers assembled, some were new and some were old. Among us all, stood an old man with a white beard. He owned our school. He gave us all a great lecture mashaAllah. There was so much to learn from this great man.

In his lecture, I learned something new. All I knew at the moment was that I am looking at a wise old man who has been very successful throughout his life. He was very rich mashaAllah.

In the middle of the lecture, he paused. He asked us all, “Do you want to know the reason of my success?” We all listened carefully. He said, “Alhamdulillah it was by Allah’s help” He also said, “When he was a child, he had to go through great struggles, however one day he read a beautiful du’a.” He would recite it every day and after that he became very successful.

It was this du’a:

“Allaahumma ‘innee a’oothu bika minal hammi walhazani, wal’ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala’ad-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaali

This was what he told us Alhamdulillah.

Abu Saeed Kudri (R.A.) narrates that once a person mentioned to Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) that he was concerned about his major debts. Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) replied “Shall I not you those words by saying which Allah will remove your concern and pay your debts?”  The person asked “What is it, O Messenger of Allah?” Prophet Mohammad (SAW.) told him to recite the following morning and evening:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبُخْلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ

“O Allah I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, I seek refuge in You from hopelessness and laziness, I seek refuge in You from miserliness and cowardice and I seek refuge in You from overwhelming debt and from the force of men”.

The person stated that he recited this dua and Allah removed all his worries and debts.
