Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
Assalam Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barkatuhu
My little sister is seven years old. She is very close to me and masha’Allah she loves Allah so much. Yesterday she came to my room and said she memorized Surah Al Bayyinah. Then she recited to me the entire Surah masha’Allah. She learned the Surah at her school which was taught by a Quran Teacher at her Quran Class. After she was done reciting the surah, she asked me, “Do you know why I love this surah so much?” I asked her why. Then she said, “because this surah has my favorite word which is Jannah.” Masha’Allah she loves Qur’an. She always talks about how big her palace would be in Jannah which would make me smile.
At home, I am very strict when it comes to music. I let my sister go on my laptop but she is only allowed to listen to Qur’an or Nasheeds. When my sister listened to the Qur’an recitation by Shaykh Mishary Al Afasy and she loved it so much.
A few months ago, my sister would come to me to practice reading the Arabic letters. There are times, I would hear someone reciting the Qur’an next to my room. I would open the door and find my sister reciting the Qur’an while playing with her dolls. She is very innocent and amazing masha’Allah. She is always kind to others and is very helping. When I went to her first grade class, I would see her helping out other students and would share her snacks with them. She was chosen as the Leader of the week that time and I was very happy for her.
She learned how to pray since she was 6 years old. When my little 10 year old brother would give the Adhan. My other little brother would lead the prayer and my sister would get her Hijab. Then one of us would help her make wudhu properly. Then she would join us all. Sometimes she would look outside and remind everyone it’s Maghrib or Isha prayer time. She would go make wudhu all by herself and start praying masha’Allah.
It’s a great blessing to have her. She likes learning about Islam. I feel very happy when she is around me Alhamdulillah. May Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala bless her and preserve her. Ameen.
[May Allah preserve us all. Ameen.]
